What is the significance of "total power" of heat source in a transient heat simulation

I just run into another question regarding the uniform power heater source. I am using the global source shutter to run a transient simulation. Then what does the “total power” mean in a transit simulation? The maximum power or the averaged power during the whole simulation? Thanks!

How to model time dependent heater in transient HEAT simulation?

The unit for power is Watt/sec. So the “total power” of a heat source in a transient simulation means that is the amount of power getting applied to the system per second. If you want to know the total Energy delivered to the system during the simulation then simply multiply the total power by the total time the source was ON (by the shutter).
