What is the best way to build the geometry for a strained 1D or 2D photonic crystal? I would like to simulate a thin membrane suspended in air that is bowed in the center relative to its anchor points at the perimeter.
We do not have a solver that can simulate shape distortion due to mechanical forces. If you are looking for a representation of the shape caused by gravity, you probably need to look for may be an analytical solution that describes that, or some other method.
