Ring Resonator Bandwidth

What’s the best way to simulate accurately the bandwidth of a ring resonator? Lately, I’ve been doing it manually from the transmission of the ring.
I have found the bandwidth is very dependent on the simulation time. For a 3 micron ring, even 20,000 fs doesn’t seem enough for the bandwidth to converge. It finally converges around 75000 fs on my case. (3 micron ring, 0.2 micron coupling gap for the standard Si ring resonator model)

Did you try simulating using interconnect? It is much faster, like few seconds. So, I extract the S-parameters of the Half ring and those of the coupling junction to the other half of the ring. Then, I run a circuit simulation as below. In this case you can use a very long simulation time and get it done in a short time.
