resolution of the optical spectra

Dear all,

I would like to increase the resolution (the number of points of the final file) of the optical spectra shown by the Optical Spectrum Analyzers. Does anyone know if it is possible?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards,

Hi @Anna,

Do you want to save the result at the end? The Spectrum Analyzer does not have the direct setting for the resolution points, but you could change the “resolution” format. The available options are “rectangular function”, “Gaussian function” and “disable” (which is the default for non-filtered spectrum).

The number of resolution points of the analyzer is the same as the number of the sample points, so you can change the number of samples to control the plot resolution. You could also control the plot bandwidth by setting the “limit frequency range”, however empty result may be triggered if the limit frequency range is far off compares to the signal bandwidth.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you have further inquiries.

Hi Guanhui,

Thanks a lot for your quickly answer, it has been very helpful
