Loading previous results

#1

Hi,

I wanted to know if there was a way to load the previous simulation results. I know how to do it for the sweeps.

Thanks

For simulation files, once you have switched from analysis mode back to layout mode and saved the file, the data from the previous run is lost. However, if you switch from analysis mode to layout mode and you have not yet saved the file again, you can close the file without saving and re-open the file to see the simulation results.

If you don’t want to lose the data, you can either create a another copy of the simulation file, or you can extract the monitor data that you need and save the data to a .ldf file using the savedata script command:
https://kb.lumerical.com/en/index.html?ref_scripts_savedata.html

This data can then be loaded back into the script workspace by using the loaddata script command:
https://kb.lumerical.com/en/index.html?ref_scripts_loaddata.html

There is a good tutorial showing how to collect results from the script in the following chapter of the KB here:
https://kb.lumerical.com/en/index.html?ref_scripts_tutorial_accessing_simulation_data.html

Hopefully this helps!
