How does floating license sharing works?
Where should FlexLM be installed and activated?
1. On a computer running FlexNet license manager as a dedicated license server.
2. On a Workstation running both Lumerical Design Tools and FlexNet LM.
The license manager is
activated on 1 of the computers on the Local Network. This computer at the same time uses and
run Lumerical’s photonic design software. The
license is shared by multiple users on the same Network. Users can access Lumerical’s photonic design software at the same time.

Configure license on client computers.
Configure Lumerical to obtain a Floating license
To access a license on a different machine, open the Lumerical Launcher and navigate to the Licenses section >> Floating Tab.
Enter the HostName or IP address of the machine hosting FlexLM on the “Server” field.
For triad dedundant license servers , Check "Configure redundant servers " and enter the HostNames or IP addresses for your 3 triad license servers.
Use Default port. Otherwise, specify the port number if this has been changed.
