How to import a 3D array of refractive-index data?


We have from an experiment a 200x200x200 voxel sized array of refractive index data. The mesh is equidistant in all axes. What is the best way to get that quite large data (8e6 points!) into FDTD solutions?

My first thought is a script that produces 8e6 rectangles, but this seems to be very inefficient (or impossible). Does anyone have a better idea?

You can import your data from import-> (n,k) Material tab. Your data can have real and imaginary part and also be anisotropic. Please take a look at Import object - Spatial (n,k) data link for some examples in this regard and let me know if you have any further questions.
