I need to create a periodic inverted nanopyramid structure. I am not familiar with writing script. Could you pls help me how to create the inverted pyramid structure.

You can just use one of the predefined object from the library. There’s a “Pyramids and cones” category:
Then you can rotate the object to get the inverted pyramid. In the object properties:
