Hi. I am using a 30 day trial FDTD solver. I’ve previously simulated this same file with no problems. But today it is showing engine error.
OS: Windows 10
file: Solar cell
Something went wrong. There is something that you can do. You can try reinstalling MSMPI . MSMPI is provided in the setup package and it should have been installed automatically by lauching FDTD_Solutions_Installer.exe. Although, you can install it manually. You can find the installation file is in the MSMPI folder .
Please try the following:
Use MPICH2 instead of Microsoft MPI
Try to run the simulation with the Bypass MPI on localhost option for both Microsoft MPI and MPICH2
You should be able to run the simulation with the 2nd option - bypassing the MPI on localhost. Otherwise, you might have to reinstall manually these MPI components as described on this article:
Manual Installation of Lumerical and required components on Windows
