Does DEVICE has the option of finding self consistent solution of Poisson and Schrodinger equations?

DEVICE is a semi-classical solver so it does not have the option to solve Schrodinger and Poisson’s equations self-consistently. It solves the semi-classical drift-diffusion and Poisson’s equation self-consistently instead.

We don’t have any immediate plans to add this feature to DEVICE, but we would be happy to hear more about your requirements. Any specific information you can provide on the physics, physical processes and application of interest will help us guide our future development efforts.

Thank you, I want to get the charge distribution in a 10 nm layer. Then I need to export this to the FDTD. The point is that due to the small thickness of this layer. The quantum solution is different from the semi-classical one especially regarding the thickness of the accumulation layer. Also, in the quantum model the peak is a little shifted.
