Crystallographic direction of Si in LUMERICAL

#1

Hello

as we know single crystalline Si wafers can have different crystalographic directions like 110, 111,…
How can I know what is this parameter in FDTD database?

thanks

Hi, heejae86,
the refractive index value of cubic lattice Si weakly depends on the light direction. So the database does not have different crystalographic direction information. The refractive index values are fitted from experimental results such as CRC.

Hope this could answer your question.
