Create oblique cylinders with flat top and bottom surfaces using "mesh order"



The “mesh order” property of structures in FDTD can be used to create complex geometries. In this case, we can use the “mesh order” of geometries to to cut out the top and bottom of the oblique cylinders by horizontal planes to make them flat. The schematic below shows that how one can create oblique cylinders with flat top/bottom surfaces on a substrate.
