build a nanocone array on an inverted hemisphere surface

I’m facing the problem to move a hexagonal nanocone array inside of a inverted
hemisphere surface. Normally, the array should be on a plane, but I
want to build the array on the inverted hemisphere surface. I wonder
if you can help me with that.

Would this type of structure do the job you described? I think the “below surface” option in the “surface” may be able do it.

To better help us understand exactly what kind of structure you have in mind, are you able to provide some illustration?

Hi, @xtian !

I think you can first to calculate the positions and orientations of the cones using geometrical considerations and then place them on top of the surface. All this is done by scripting.

Have you already tried something to achieve your goal?
